SURCHARGE ON DOCUMENTS
$2 Surcharge is imposed on all documents including plans pursuant to NH RSA 478:17-j and should be included with recording fees.
$25 State LCHIP surcharge fee in a separate check due on each deed, mortgage, mortgage discharge, and plan set recorded under RSA 478:17g, I-a(a), Effective July 1, 2008.

Plans must be on reproducible material other than paper and drawn with permanent black ink and conform to the plat standards if drawn after January 1, 2005.
TRANSFER TAX
*This must be a separate check ending in whole dollars*
A tax of $15 per thousand is imposed upon the sale, granting or transfer of real estate and any interest therein except where the price or consideration is $4,000 or less, there shall be a minimum of $40. An exemption from the transfer tax must be clearly stated on the deed being recorded.
