Welcome to the Sullivan County Register of Deeds web site. The Register of Deeds office provides numerous services to the professional community and the general public.
The records of this office date back to 1827.

Some of the services include, but are not limited to:

* Recording documents pertaining to real estate transactions.
* Recording land surveys.
* Filing financing statements and other UCC forms relating to real estate.
* Copying and certifying as to these recorded real estate documents.
* Serving as custodian for other miscellaneous legal records such as Power of Attorneys, tax liens from towns/cities, boundary line agreements, IRS notices, etc.



The Register of Deeds is a constitutional officer and is elected to a two-year term by the citizens of the County in which the Register serves. The Register of Deeds serves as custodian and manager of a large number of public records on a day to day basis.

The recording process is mandated and governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire. The Register of Deeds is charged with the integrity, completeness, and safekeeping of these public records. It is the mission of the Sullivan County Register of Deeds to preserve the integrity of the records and to make them available and easily accessible to the public, now and for all future generations.
